Competitive Abstinence Education (CAE) Program

A new federal funding stream for abstinence education was introduced in 2012 called the “Competitive Abstinence Education” (CAE) grant program.

  • In 2012 we partnered with two organizations on the grant application.  Only 9 projects were funded, but one of our two partners was among them!
  • In 2013 we once again partnered with two organizations on the grant application.  Only 10 projects were funded, but once again one of our two partners was among them!
  • And in 2014, we once again partnered with two organizations on the grant application.  Only 11 projects were funded, but for a third time in a row one of our two partners was among them!

The 2015 funding opportunity announcement (FOA) has now been released, and we would love to partner with you in applying for a grant.  We have a strong evaluation section for the application (it runs just under 5 full pages), and we customize the “Methods” section based on your specific project outcome objectives and goals.  Of the 6 evaluation sections we have written—2 each in 2012, 2013, and 2014—we have never received less than a perfect score, with no weaknesses cited by the federal reviewers.

Also, if you are an existing grantee and would like help with implementation evaluation and/or performance measurement please contact us.
