SRAE Program
Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) is federal program whose goals is “to educate youth on how to voluntarily refrain from non-marital sexual activity and avoid related risky behaviors.” (Sexual Risk Avoidance Education Program – General Departmental Program Fact Sheet, accessed 5/1/23)
Beginning in 2017, the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) began funding cohorts of new three-year projects every year at about $400,000 per fiscal year. There was no “notice of funding opportunity” (NOFO) in 2022, but the funding resumed in 2023.
